75 Years in Beautiful Downtown Willow Springs

On Saturday, October 2, Bailey Chevy GMC located at 720 E Main Street in “Beautiful Downtown Willow Springs” received the award for the second longest continuously running Willow Springs business. The plaque was handed over to John Bailey from Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce president Kim Fredrick. Bob and Ruby Bailey started selling New GM cars in 1946: 75 years ago. Also pictured are second and third generation dealers Wendell, Jane, and John Bailey.
Current dealer John Bailey was quoted as saying “Thank you, thank you, thank you for the customers who have made the first 75 years possible. “I look forward to doing my work to starting another 75 years of Bailey Chevy GMC. Today reminds me of two great stories. In the Wizard of Oz it says there is no place like home… and from It’s a wonderful life …no man is a failure who has friends!”
Over 100 people were in attendance at the event where a meal was served on the showroom floor and a 75th birthday cake was enjoyed by all.
