A graduate of Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, Dr. Derek Morrison specializes in family care and endoscopy services. Dr Morrison completed a residency in family medicine at Cox Health in Springfield, Missouri, serving as Chief Resident his final year.
While completing his family medicine training, Dr. Morrison invested time serving in area Urgent Cares and Emergency Departments. He has served our local community for the last 10 years providing whole family medical care as well as endoscopy services.
Dr. Morrison grew up in Willow Springs, Missouri. He and his wife, Nikki, have seven children ages two to 18. Together they run a large beef farm and enjoy spending time together farming and riding horses. The family is active in many sports and Dr. Morrison helps coach the OCA high school boys’ basketball team.
Dr. Morrison’s clinical interests include family health and endoscopy. He provides outpatient services to all patients in a community setting. Dr. Morrison chose to join Burton Creek Rural Clinic because he believes it will provide him with the greatest opportunity to provide individualized care to fellow members of the community.
