Assumption Abbey Fruitcakes on sale now

The Assumption Abbey Fruitcakes are on sale now through Oct. 9. These fruitcakes may be purchased from the Ladies Guild of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Willow Springs. The 2-pound fruitcake is only $30. Orders must be prepaid and placed by Oct. 9.

The Assumption Abbey Fruitcake is a rich, two-pound fruitcake, perfect for holiday entertaining or gift giving. These fruitcakes are made under the supervision of the Trappist Monks at Assumption Abbey near Ava, Mo. Their recipe was given to them by world class chef Jean-Pierre Auge, who at the on time served inthe royal employ of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. The monks describe the fruitcake as, "dark, rich, traditional style of fruitcake."
