Workshop to be held at Church of the Brethren of Cabool

The Church of the Brethren of Cabool invites all community members to a workshop concerning conflict and polarization with those we encounter in our family, church and neighborhood. The leader, David Radcliff, Director of the New Community Project, will address the question: "Where do the teachings of Jesus take us as we face people within and beyond the church who are diametrically opposed to things we consider essential to our faith and witness?" Join a discussion of navigating these treacherous waters.
David Radcliff, MDiv and DMin (peace studies) founded the New Community Project in 2003 with partners in eight countries promoting girls' education, reforestation and native communities. Prior to founding the NCP, he directed peace, environmental and hunger relief programs for the Church of the Brethren, one of the historic peace churches. He is an adjunct faculty member at Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania, teaching in the areas of globalization, hunger and poverty and the environment. He leads NCP learning Tours to Africa, Asia, the Amazon rainforest, the arctic and the western USA, and speaks around the country in schools, colleges and congregations and other settings. David lives in Blue Ridge, VA where he travels primarily by bicycle.
The workshop is free and open to all. Lunch is included.
