$2,000 Donated to Bears for a Better Christmas

Thanks to the friendly competition among local fire chiefs, Howell County News had the honor of donating $2,000 to the Bears for a Better Christmas program on October 7. The newspaper hosted a water game at last weekend’s Bear City Festival, and the ensuing friendly rivalry increased beyond all expectations the community participation at the booth and overall donations collected. Not pictured, but every bit as responsible for this generous donation, is Willow Spring Fire Chief Vance Farmer.
