40th Anniversary celebration of Eric Lewis and New Kentucky Colonels band

Colonel Eric Lewis from West Plains, Missouri has been playing, singing performing, writing songs and recording for 63 years, he began playing at age 15, in the 1960's he formed a bluegrass, country group
They toured at festivals and other venues. In 1970 Eric joined the Heart of the Ozarks Bluegrass Association at West Plains. In 1981 he formed a band called Southern Missouri Bluegrass. In 1990, he partnered with Kirby Clark of Mountain Grove, Mo., and they toured as Lewis and Clark Bluegrass Expedition for ten years. In 2006 he was commissioned a Kentucky Colonel by the governor of Kentucky.
His current band features members, Eric Lewis, Kirby Clark, Alex Hilliker, Mountain Home, Daniel Bean Caulfield, Missouri and Dennis Reese of Alton, Missouri,
They will promote their 40th anniversary celebration on Saturday, June 26 at the Star Theatre in Willow Springs, Missouri beginning at 6:00 p.m.
A few of the past members of the band will perform, including Don Goff of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on banjo and dobro, Ann McAllister, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, on upright bass, and Richie DeMent, Center, Missouri, on bass.
