Autographed guitar to be auctioned off at the Rodney Atkins concert

Randy Frazier recently accepted a donated guitar from Randy Reese of Ozark Trading Post in Mtn. View. The guitar will be autographed by Rodney Atkins and will then be auctioned off at the 37th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Concert featuring Rodney Atkins on Saturday, March 15 at the West Plains Civic Center.

 

"Each year we have received a guitar from Randy Reese for our artist to sign and be auctioned off. Some lucky person will purchase a wonderful piece of memorable. It is not that often that someone from our area gets the opportunity to own something like this. We appreciate Randy Reese for making this possible,” says Rick Frazier of Cystic Fibrosis of West Plains.

 

The  37th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Concert's doors will open at 5:00 p.m. starting off with a silent auction. Then a live auction will begin around 6:30 p.m. with Billy Sexton as the auctioneer. Both auctions are packed full of donated items that everyone is sure to enjoy. If you have something you would like to donate, please give call at 417-256-5388.

 

Next up for the evening will be Jessica's Friends singers. This group, made up of local talent, has been performing each year and they are always a crowd pleaser. This year's group will be under the direction of Diane Reed.

 

Around 8:00 p.m. Rodney Atkins will take the stage. Atkins received the Country Artist New Comers Award in 2006. Also in 2006, he won Song of the Year for his number one hit, “Cleaning This Gun”, and again in 2007 for his number one hit, “Watching You”. That song became the song of the decade for the 2000's. Atkins will be singing many of his other hits like, “Caught Up In The Country”, along with his newest hit, “True South”, and many more.

 

Ticket prices will be $30.00 for adults and $5.00 for children in advance.
