Birch Tree man dies in crash outside Mansfield

Norvil B. Lakey, 84, of Birch Tree, did not survive a two-vehicle crash on October 24 on Highway 5 two miles south of Mansfield. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 2:20 p.m. as a Ford F350, driven by Dalton Sole Parnosky, 25, of Buffalo, Mo., crossed the center of the roadway and struck Lakey's F250 head-on. 

Lakey was pronounced deceased at Mercy Ambulance Bay in Manfield by Wright County Corner Ben Hurtt at 3:20 p.m. 

This is Troop G's 25th fatality for 2022 as compared to 28 this time in 2021.
