City of West Plains suspends recycling program until Aug. 9

On July 28, the City of West Plains announced it was suspending the municipal recycling program effective immediately. The program will resume Monday, August 9.
Public Relations Director Cody Sanders explained that the department is short-staffed, so the City has pulled workers from the recycling crew to staff trash routes.
Residents are asked to hold onto their recyclables until routes resume or take them to the recycling center located at 1853 Goodhard Dr. Hours are Mondays through Fridays, 7 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
