Convicts Captured

Both the escapees who recently fled from the Shannon County Jail have been apprehended. According to a press release from the Shannon County Sheriff’s Office, Hunter Vest was arrested at a residence on Highway 21 in Ripley County on October 5. 
 
The 20-year-old suspect was one of two inmates who escaped the outdoor confinement area of the jail on September 27. The other inmate, Camerson Kennedy, was captured within 24 hours, but Vest remained on the loose. 
 
According to the Sheriff’s office, the collaboration of several law enforcement agencies led to Vest’s arrest. The department extended thanks to The MSHP Division of Drug & Crime Control, the US Marshall’s Service, Carter County Sheriff’s Office, and Ripley County Sheriff’s Office.
