The average age for deaths in the county for December 2024 was seventy-five, one year younger than the previous month. Women continued to outnumber men in deaths, with twenty-four female deaths to twenty-two male deaths. Men outnumbered women for deaths attended by the coroner's office, eleven to five, while there was only one man that passed away at a nursing home during the month and ten women. For those on hospice, men outnumbered women deaths by one. December had the highest number of deaths for both sexes in the final quarter of the year.
