Driver clocked at 163 m.p.h. on U.S. 60

Efrem Slavik, 21, of Winder, GA was clocked at 163 miles per hour as he traveled Westbound on U.S. Highway 60 Friday morning.
“It looked like he’d been shot out of a gun,” commented Willow Springs Police Officer Jim Hedlesten.
Officer Hedlesten was on duty, and observed the 2018 BMW M3 pass the north junction in Willow Springs, but did not give chase.
Troop G tweeted that Slavik’s speed may be a record speeding violation in the nine-county area.
Slavik was eventually found in the Cabool area. He was arrested at 7:52 a.m. and charged with speeding 163 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone, resisting arrest, and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
Slavik was placed on a 24-hour hold in the Howell County Jail.
