Durnell, Elliot host coffee chat in Mtn. View.

Freshmen Representatives in the Missouri House Keith Elliot (R-153), left, and Lisa Durnell (R-154), center, met with a handful of constituents at Ron’s Family Restaurant in Mountain View Friday morning. The new legislators outlined recent developments in Jefferson City and took questions. Durnell and Elliot were two of only ten votes cast for Justin Sparks for the Speaker of the House position that went to Jon Patterson. The representatives touched on legislation of interest such as bills to facilitate the sale of raw dairy, to remove the sunset from the SAFE Act, and to maintain protections for homeschooling families. Durnell says she plans to continue these meetings around the county but has not set dates.
