Heart of the Community Vendor Festival

Lakeland Pharmacy hosted the Heart of the Community Vendor Festival at the Bear Crossing Shopping Center on Saturday, November 6. Twenty-five vendors took advantage of the crisp, clear afternoon to set up booths. 

Proceeds from the vendor fees will benefit Salutes, a veteran's shelter in West Plains, said head pharmacist at Lakeland, Fran Thexton. The event raised nearly $600 to benefit Salutes, which is a nonprofit organization that houses and feeds both male and female veterans in need. The Lakeland booth was selling fleece blankets to benefit the shelter as well.

Vendor booths ranged from crafters and bakers to food trucks and mum vendors. Christmas music played over the sound system as shoppers milled the marketplace.
