Howell County Commission Activities

The Howell County Commission met on July 21 and 25.
On July 21, the Commission approved the Abatement and Additions of Tax Assessment for June 2021 as Commission Order 2022-O15. They were also scheduled to meet with representatives with the Sheriff’s Office and Romaine Companies for the presentation of a detention body scanner. 
On July 25, the Board of Equalization was scheduled to meet and hear 2022 Assess Valuation Appeals. Doug Harris with Public Water Supply District No. 2 (PWSD2) was scheduled to appear before the Commission with an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) request. Dennis Lancaster from Missouri State University was scheduled to discuss an autism project. 
For the foreseeable future, agendas will include discussion to consider and award ARPA requests. Agendas also regularly include approving accounts payable and recognizing any guests who appear.
Your Howell County Commissioners are Presiding Commissioner Mark Collins, Northern Commissioner Calvin Wood, and Southern Commissioner Billy Sexton. The Commission meets in regular session on Mondays and Thursdays, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The meetings remain open during the lunch hour and are open to the public.
