A Mountain View couple are facing serious criminal charges involving multiple sexual assaults on a child and the attempt to keep the girl quiet.
Liselee Brian Snyder, age 48, of Mountain View is charged with eleven felonies: three counts of statutory sodomy or attempt – deviate sexual intercourse – person less than 12 years old, one count of statutory sodomy or attempt – deviate sexual intercourse – person less than 14 years old, three counts of child molestation – second degree – child less than 12 years old, one count of sexual misconduct involving a child under 15 – first offense, harassment – first degree, enticement or attempted enticement of a child – actor 21 years of age or older and child less than 15 years of age, and two counts of misdemeanor sexual misconduct. The charges range in time from June 2019 to May 2024. He is currently out on a $150,000 bond.
His wife, Ronda Snyder, age 52, is charged with two felony counts of tampering with a witness in a felony prosecution, and one felony count of endangering the welfare of a child creating substantial risk – first degree – first offense – no sexual conduct. She is currently out on a $10,000 surety bond.
The Howell County Sheriff's Office began an investigation into Liselee after Ronda reported allegations of child molestation in August 2021, according to court documents. In a forensic interview by the Child Advocacy Center, the victim alleged that Liselee had molested her multiple times between the ages of 11 and 13. She told the interviewer he said he would kill everyone who knew about this and told her not to tell anyone.
This is not the first time Liselee has been under investigation for the sexual abuse of a child. He faced charges in March 2022 in Howell County before the case was transferred to Butler County in August that year. The charges appear to have been transferred to a new case with additional charges on August 21, 2024, following a grand jury indictment.
More allegations of inappropriate conduct towards the first victim mentioned above surfaced in May 2024. That victim, now age 16, was able to provide investigators with video evidence.
Ronda Snyder is being accused of witness tampering after allegedly telling two minor child witnesses that if her husband, Liselee, went to prison that their lives would become more difficult. She is accused of endangering the welfare of the child by keeping the victim in a home with Liselee, who she knew had sexually abused the victim continuing to assault and entice her. These incidents were said to have occurred on or between the dates of October 3, 2023, and May 28, 2024, according to court documents.
Both Snyders are being defended by the same attorney and both have requested a change of judge in the Howell County Court.
