Informational sessions for veterans interested in attending college set for May 16-19

Area veterans and their dependents interested in using their military education benefits to earn a degree from Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) are invited to attend an informational session May 16-19 in Hass-Darr Hall Room 104.
No appointment is necessary. Veterans and dependents are invited to drop by anytime between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on one of the dates. Each session will be individualized to meet the needs of each dependent.
Mark White, coordinator of Veteran Services, said he will be on hand to help veterans navigate the admissions and financial aid process for the 2022 summer session and/or fall semester.
This includes assistance with completing the application for admission, filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), choosing a degree program and completing the veteran's educational benefits eligibility forms.
Veterans interested in taking classes during the 2022 summer session or fall semester should bring their 2019 and 2020 personal income tax records for filling out the FAFSA and their DD-214 for filling out the educational benefits forms.
For more information, contact White at 417-255-7720 or MWhite@MissouriState.edu.
