Live Orchestra to Play after 4th of July Parade

The Southern Ozarks Community Orchestra will present a program designed especially for the 245th celebration of the Declaration of Independence immediately after the 4th of July Annual Parade, on Saturday, July 3 at 10:00 a.m. in Willow Springs. 
Line up for the parade will begin at 9 am at Booster Field. Organizers are actively seeking historic characters to portray individuals from 1620-2021. There are costumes available by calling Jane Bailey at (417) 469-2588. These heroes have already signed up to date include : George Washington (Tony Duddridge), Annie Oakley (Pauline Cope), Susan B. Anthony (Sue Walters), Uncle Sam (Avery Parker), Statue of Liberty (Denee Davis), Davy Crockett (Rep. David Evans), Clara Barton (Deborah Kyano), Carrie Chapman Catt (Theresa Turner), George W. Bush (Mike Kyle), Rosie the Riveter (Lori Evins) and Harriet Tubman.
