Man, toddler hurt in ATV crash

Larry Campbell, 26, of West Plains was taken from the scene of an ATV crash by helicopter for treatment of serious injuries. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Campbell was operating a Polaris Razor. He had a two-year-old male passenger in the vehicle at the time of the crash on June 4. 
The ATV ran off the road after attempting to overtake a Dodge Journey operated by Shanomie Jenness-Campbell, 26, of West Plains on County Road 1930 two miles north of West Plains. In the attempt, the ATV sideswiped the SUV, and the man and child were partially ejected as they crashed into a utility pole. 
The child was taken from the scene in an ambulance with injuries described as minor. 
The driver of the SUV was not injured.
