PARTY'S OVER: Four Arrested for Narcotics at Hotel in West Plains

Four people have received felony charges after West Plains Police conducted a search warrant at a local hotel last week. The police conducted a search warrant on a room at the Baymont Inn & Suites in West Plains at 8:16 pm on March 26, and arrested one man and three women.
Daniel, J. Alderliesten, age 25, of West Plains; Amy L. Smith, age 53 of Tecumseh; Julie M. Nickles, age 47, of Thayer; Heather P. Stouffer, age 43, of West Plains, are each charged with four felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid. Each person was issued a $100,000 cash or corporate surety bond. At the time of writing, only Nickles has posted bond and the rest remain in custody. Alderliesten also had a warrant out of Oregon County for probation violation on a domestic assault conviction.
Police recovered over 70 capsules of suspected fentanyl, seven used syringes, three spoons, a bag of suspected methamphetamine, suspected Lorazepam, Diazepam, and Carisoprodol pills, multiple plastic baggies, and a straw. Police also collected four jars of toilet water as evidence. The toilet water was collected due to five pills of suspected fentanyl was found inside the toilet of the hotel room bathroom and the water was collected for testing.
Alderliesten, Smith, and Stouffer have pleaded not guilty to the charges and were scheduled for a court appearance on Monday, April 1 Nickels has her initial court appearance scheduled for Monday, April 8.
