Planned power outage in Willow Springs

A planned power outage on Tuesday, Oct. 15 affected a large number of utility customers. The city announced the outage on Friday, Oct. 11. The Tuesday evening outage was scheduled to begin after press time at approximately 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the outage is to allow electric crews to conduct a pole change-out behind Willow Funeral Home. 
 
Referring to the map above:
> Pink will be out approximately 14-16 hours beginning at 6:00 p.m.
> Blue will be out for approximately 2-4 hours beginning at 8:00 p.m.
> Orange will also be out approximately 2-4 hours beginning at 8:00 p.m., but in worst case scenario it could be up to 16 hours.
“We understand and apologize for the inconvenience, but please remember that storms can also cause power outages without warning and we all should be prepared for anything,” commented the city in their announcement.
