PSAC talks vacancies

The Public Safety Advisory Committee voted to recommend two new members to the board of aldermen. During Monday’s meeting, the committee discussed candidates for the vacancies left by the resignations of Rebecca Klapmeyer and Erik Montgomery. Per ordinance, at least four of the committee members must reside within the city limits of Willow Springs.

The committee has recommended Tyler Morris and Elizabeth Lakey to the mayor for approval at the next meeting of the board of aldermen. Morris currently serves as an alderman and the board’s liaison to the committee, but he has moved outside the ward he represents. Mayor pro-tem Kim Rich will replace Morris in the liaison position. Lakey is new to municipal service.

Before adjourning, the committee reviewed the responses received to a survey sent to the business community. They took no action.
