Republican HQ open in WP

The Howell County Republican headquarters held its grand opening and ribbon cutting on Thursday, Sept. 26. The headquarters is led by Dennis Von Allmen. During the ceremony, candidates Brad Hudson and Lisa Durnell spoke to the crowd.

Hudson is running unopposed for Missouri Senate District 33 after winning the August primary. “You can still vote for me, though,” Hudson said to the crowd before thanking the Howell County branch of the United Federation of Republican Women and local Republicans. “We've got work to do. I want to say it's an honor to be your nominee.” He said that he doesn't want to just win, he wants to send a message. “We got folks that are running statewide. I don't know who you voted for as far as the governor's race is concerned in the primary, but Crystal Quade has been the minority leader in the house the entire time I've been up there. We do not want her as our governor.”

He also spoke on Amendment 3 and how it would “undo all the works that we did on that.” Amendment 3 would enshrine rights to abortion access into the Missouri Constitution.

Durnell is running against Democrat Jojo Stewart for State Representative District 154. “I want to thank everyone for your support during the primary and hope you can get behind me as your Republican candidate,” said Durnell.

The Howell County Republican Headquarters is located at 1625 Gibson Avenue in West Plains. Trump signs are now available at the headquarters. In order to recoup the cost of the signs to the committee, yard signs are $5.00 each and 4x8 signs are $30.00 each. Signs are also available for down ballot candidates.
