Spring Snow

A springtime snowfall contrasted the picturesque with the truly bizarre on April 20. Snow coated redbud and dogwood blossoms, dusted over new spring grass, and struck dismay in the hearts of every gardener who has planted fruit trees and tomatoes this year. In most of Howell County, the snowfall was minor and melted away completely by the following day. Traditional spring temperatures and rain returned by the weekend.
