State Representative Bennie Cook is pleased to announce and invite area high school choirs to participate in the Fifth Annual Capitol Choir Christmas Showcase at the Missouri State Capitol.
The annual event celebrates the holiday season and highlights the musical talents of students from across Missouri. Participating choirs will perform Christmas carols in the beautiful first-floor Rotunda, filling the Capitol with festive music enjoyed by visitors, staff, and lawmakers alike.
The event will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 10 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Capitol, 1st Floor Rotunda.
In addition to performing, participating choirs will have the opportunity to take a professional group photo in the Capitol, meet with elected officials, tour the Missouri State Capitol, and enjoy a complimentary lunch.
“This event is one of my favorites that we host at the Capitol,” said Cook, R-Houston. “It’s a special way to showcase the incredible talents of Missouri’s young people while sharing the joy of the Christmas season with everyone who visits.”
High School Choral Directors interested in registering their group or seeking additional details are encouraged to contact Rep. Cook’s office at 573-751-2264 or Bennie.Cook@house.mo.gov.
