Sunshine – and sugar!

On Saturday, crowds of kids squinted in the sunshine waiting for the signal to dash into the hunting grounds and collect their sugary spoils. It was 75 degrees and sunny with a slight breeze – ideal weather for the annual Easter egg hunt at Booster Field in Willow Springs.

The yearly event is a collaboration of the Lions Club and the Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce. The Willow Springs Senior Center hand-stuffed every egg. Students from the Interact Club helped to “hide” the eggs on the field, and Westside Family Life Center and CrossWay Fellowship Church made contributions to the event’s success.
