The Military Warriors Support Foundation and the Chevy Dealers of the Ozarks gifted former United States Army Sergeant First Class Thomas Earl Walker a brand new, one hundred percent payment-free 2024 Chevy Silverado during the Birthplace of Route 66 Festival on August 9.
Bailey Chevrolet in Willow Springs participates in the giveaway.
“Vietnam Veteran Sergeant First Class Thomas Walker was watery eyed as we gave him the keys,” commented John Bailey. “Bailey Chevy has been giving back since 1946 from beautiful downtown Willow Springs. Congratulations, Thomas. Thank you for your service. This is just a small way for us citizens to thank our military. Enjoy driving your gift of the 2024 Chevy truck. You are the best example for all of us Americans to try to be more like you and your fellow veterans.”
Sgt. Walker served in Vietnam. During his time in the military and for his service and sacrifice, he was awarded a National Defense Service Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device, the Army Commendation Medal with First Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Medal First Oak Leaf Cluster, and many more.
This presentation was made possible by the Chevy Dealers of the Ozarks and the Chevrolet Everyday Heroes program.
