Watch Spider-Man's latest adventure for free Aug. 22

Area residents can watch Spider-Man's latest adventure under the stars when Missouri State University-West Plains (MSU-WP) hosts a free movie night at 8:00 p.m. Aug. 22 at the amphitheater as part of its annual Welcome Week activities.
In this latest installment of Marvel Studio's tales surrounding the web-slinger, Spider-Man has been unmasked, leaving Peter Parker unable to separate his everyday life from the high-stake adventures of being a superhero.
The dilemma leads Peter to the door of Dr. Strange and asking for help through a time-altering ritual. When the spell goes wrong and dangerous foes from other worlds appear, Peter discovers what it truly means to be "your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man."
The film stars Tom Holland, Zendaya and Benedict Cumberbatch and is rated PG-13.
"We invite everyone to come and see this exciting, action-packed film filled with fun bits of nostalgia from the character's history on film," said Brenda Polyard, director of MSU-WP's University/Community Programs (U/CP) Department, which is sponsoring the showing. "It will be a memorable experience for everyone!"
