Dante Pankey, 25, of West Plains was indicted by a Douglas County Grand Jury for sexual conduct with a student at Ozark Trails Youth Home, say court documents. The incident occurred in August of 2024 where Pankey was employed at a private troubled teen facility in Eastern Douglas County, announced the Douglas County Sheriff's Office in a statement.
Douglas County Deputy Nathan Long, Children's Division, and the Child Advocacy Center of West Plains investigated this matter, which resulted in the Jan. 17 indictment.
Pankey is charged with two felonies -- promoting child pornography, and sexual contact with a student, and also with third degree sexual misconduct third degree bond, a misdemeanor.
Pankey was arrested on Feb. 10, and posted his $5,000 bond the next day.
