The annual awards banquet held by the Willow Springs Chamber of Commerce introduced two never-before-seen awards.
“We are always looking for ways to recognize more of our businesses for their outstanding commitment to our community,” said Chamber President Mary Aye. “The Community Betterment award is to honor a citizen, group, or business who has performed outstanding service for the betterment of the community through participation in civic, charitable, business, educational, or other activities.”
The inaugural recipient of this award was Pizza Americana, owned by Andy and Lori Logan.
The other new award is the Emerging Business Award, which is for, “a business that has a high level of entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and determination,” according to Aye.
Howell County News received that award this year.
Another new addition this year is the addition of Chamber Ambassadors, pictured below.
The banquet was emceed by Dr. Marty Spence. FBLA Jr. Chamber member Kolton Stolba also assisted throughout the evening.
“Congratulations to all our award winners,” says the Chamber’s press release. “We truly live in an amazing community full of wonderful people. Willow Springs is a better place to live because of all the fantastic people who live here.”
