ADEENA LOU BOCK

Adeena Lou Bock, age 80, passed away on February 23rd, 2022, in Mountain View, Missouri. She was born to Francis (Joe) and Cora (Marie) Cox on September 8, 1941, in Westland, Michigan. In 1961, Adeena married Gary Bock, and to this union four children were born.  She and Gary raised their family in Alpena, Michigan and later, Port Richey, Florida.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary; one daughter, Dawn Stentzel; her parents, Joe and Marie; and one brother, Bob Cox.

 Adeena is survived by three daughters: Denise McMullen and husband, Frank, Mountain View, Missouri; Laura Whiting and husband, Jim, Wilder, Kentucky and Linda McCraney, Port Richey, Florida; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. 

Adeena was an avid collector of yarn and crocheted beautifully. She also loved to collect recipes and cookbooks, even though her inability to cook was well-documented. She did love to read though, and they are books, after all. She was brilliant, creative, sarcastic, funny, introverted, a master of the eye roll, and loved by all who knew her. 

Because Dena, DeeDee, or Dink (nicknames her father bestowed on her as a small child that she never outgrew), was happiest when people just left her alone.
