Bobby Joe Davis of Willow Springs, MO died at his home on February 24, 2024 at the age of 65 years and 18 days. He was born in Willow Springs on February 6, 1959 the son of Russell and Thelma (Clinton) Davis.
On December 24, 1976, he married Anita Pringle and to this union 6 children were born, Bobbie Sue, Tracy, Holly, Billy Joe, Amber and Thelma. They were the light of his life and he would have been happy with a whole dozen of
them. He was later married to Alicia Allen.
Joe’s favorite role was that as a grandparent; he treasured his time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He loved being their Papa, never failing to spoil them rotten every chance he could.
Joe spent most of his life working in the log woods as owner of Davis Logging, Dozing and Sawmill alongside his only son. He never failed to take you on a walk about every time you went to the woods with him.
Everyone who knew Joe knew how much he loved going to the lake with his family. They spent every weekend camping at Norfork Lake every summer.
Joe will always be remembered for his sense of humor but also his stubbornness, and the way that he loved his family. We’ll always imagine hearing him say “Ah, now ain’t that a sight!” one more time. We couldn’t have asked for a better Dad and Papa and will miss Joe every day. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Tracy; his brother, Basil Davis; sister, Shirley Loman (Vern) and brother-in-laws, Gary Echelberry, David Colborn and David Coonts. He is survived by his children,
Bobbie Sue Davis, Holly Davis, Billy Joe Davis (Teresa), Amber Rose (Casey) and Thelma Beason (Levi); grandkids, MyKayla Yonker (Tommy), Weston Pringle (Lindy), Andrea Varney (Kyle), Alison Lemon, Dominick Mingucci, Cole Rose,
Braxton Mingucci, and Elijah Beason; great grandkids, Asher and Kayce Varney, Graesyn and Gretchyn Pringle and Eli Yonker; his siblings, Charlie Davis (Sharon), Tillie Lowe (Lonnie), Janice Echelberry, Sue Davis, Leona Day
(Gary), and Bev Colborn; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30am, Friday, March 1, at the Holmes Flat Rock Cemetery with Doug Brower officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home of Cabool, MO. Online
