Elray Lee Haselhuhn

Elray Lee Haselhuhn of Mountain View, Missouri, passed away on January 15, 2025, at sixty-one years old. Elray was born June 29, 1963, in Rodgers City, Michigan, to Clayton and Janet (Urban) Haselhuhn. Elray was the fourth of eight children.

Elray grew up in northern Michigan until his early teens when his family moved to Wyoming. Elray lived in Wyoming for almost twenty years and then relocated to Mountain View, Missouri. He and Becky were married and lived out the last twenty-five years of his life.

Elray worked in the oil fields in Wyoming for almost twenty years, switching careers to construction after moving to Missouri. He could build a house from the ground up. The thing that Elray enjoyed the most was hunting and fishing. He could outfish and outhunt anyone, everywhere, from the mountains in Wyoming to the Gulf in Alabama. He loved to watch hunting and fishing shows and to share his knowledge and skills with anyone who would let him. Elray loved to spend time with his family, teaching his grandchildren how to fish, and loving on his kitties.

Elray is survived by his wife of 32 years, Becky (Gehlken) Haselhuhn; five children, Shannon Hamilton, Amanda Hamilton, Davis Hamilton, Hayley (Haselhuhn) Carmichael, and Cara (Haselhuhn) Harber; nine grandchildren; his mother, Janet; six of his seven siblings; along with multiple nieces and nephews.

No services are planned. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Yarber Mortuary to help the family pay for expenses. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
