Jackie Lee Bennett

Jackie Lee Bennett, age 73, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs, Missouri. He was born to William Tell and Elva (Hendrix) Bennett on July 3, 1948, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Jackie was united in marriage to Jessie Perkins on November 28, 2009, at Willow Springs, Missouri.
Jackie graduated from Walnut Ridge High School. He worked many years in retail and later was an ordained minister who loved to share the gospel and good news of Jesus Christ. He was a dedicated member of the Glorybound Full Gospel Church in Hutton Valley, Missouri. Jackie enjoyed collecting model trains and was an active member of the West Plains Model Railroad Club. Jackie loved his family and was often an ornery jokester who loved to make people laugh.
Survivors include his wife of twelve years, Jessie Bennett of Willow Springs; three children, Jack Bennett and wife Sue of Greencastle, Pennsylvania, Joyce Sands and husband Michael of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, and Angie Bennett of Hoxie, Arkansas; one step-daughter, Amber Brasier and husband Jason of Springfield, Missouri; and eight grandchildren, Veronica Boyd and husband John, Josh Sands, Jon Sands, Jace Bennett, Katelyn Richey, Kameron Richey, Braelynn Richey, and Summer Brasier; and three great-grandchildren.
 He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Elva Bennett; one sister, Virginia; and one son, Ricky, who died at birth.
The family would like to thank the staff at both Willow Health Care and Yarber Mortuary for their care and kindness.
