Lester Eull Grandstaff, Jr.

Lester Eull Grandstaff, Jr. "Sonny" was born on December 12, 1952, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Lester and Lena (Routh) Grandstaff. Sonny went home to be with our Lord and Savior on September 13, 2023, at the age of 70, doing what he loved, with his co-pilot Tego by his side.
Sonny was united in marriage to Glenda Sue Bay on July 20, 1974, in Escondido, California. To this union, three children were born Dexter, Derk, and Lezlie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Lena Grandstaff; sister, Ethel Ruthledge; brother, Dennis Grandstaff; and brother-in-law, Wayne Rader.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Grandstaff of the home; three children, Dexter Grandstaff (Joyce) of Mountain View, MO, Derk Grandstaff (Jamie), of Star, ID, and Lezlie Gingerich (Stefan) of Ramona, CA; eleven grandchildren, Fawna, Haley, Tyler, Jason, Trevor, Logan, Ava, Ethan, Brady, Jacob, and Noah; one great-grandchild, Emma; sisters, Betty Dungan, Connie Womack (Cecil), Vickie Day, and Brenda Huddleston (Bill); and along with a host of nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
Sonny held various jobs throughout the years, but most importantly his service for the Lord continued until he was called home. He found pleasure in spending time outdoors, ministering to those in need, and going on adventures with his wife. Sonny's love for his family was undeniable, and his smile was contagious. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
"Instead of Giving up or giving in hold fast to your faith!"
