MELORA N. NUTTER

Melora Nina Nutter, a resident of Willow Springs, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, while at Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains. She was born July 9, 1950, in Syracuse, N.Y. to James Francis and Melora Nina (Simmons) LaFleur, Sr. and was 71 years old.
Melora grew up and attended school in Fulton, N.Y. and graduated from Union Springs Academy in Union Springs, N.Y. She went on to become a licensed practical nurse and spent her nursing career caring for the elderly in medical clinics and nursing homes. Because she mainly worked the third shift, she spent most of her free time sleeping or watching television. She was also described as an avid reader. When she lived in Florida, she had a large walk-in bird aviary and raised tropical birds. Melora was a Christian and a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist church. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings: Mary, Louise, Joan, Janette, and Robert.
She is survived by her brother, James F. LaFleur, Jr. and his wife, Jean of Willow Springs, and her son, Jamie Lee Nutter of Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Melora's memory to Child Impact International, an organization Melora supported.
