Naomi Frances Millner

Naomi F. Millner, 96, passed away on April 4, 2022, at Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs. She was born March 20, 1926, in Kansas City, KS to Robert H. and Ruth N. (Murray) Bishop. After graduating from Norborne, MO High School, she attended business college in Kansas City, MO. While working as a secretary at the Carroll County Extension Office, she met Charles Millner who asked her to a football game. She claims she wasn't interested in him but only wanted to ride in his new car. They were married in 1950 and shared 65 years until his passing in 2016.
Naomi helped Charles with the dairy farm he owned until he was called to the ministry. She was by his side throughout his career doing whatever she could to help.
Naomi was a member of the Willow Springs United Methodist Church and Chapter FW of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She delivered meals for the Willow Springs Senior Center, helped with Bingo at Willow Care Nursing Home, and beautified downtown Willow Springs by adopting, planting, and watering many flower boxes. Until her health deteriorated, she could be seen walking daily.
She is survived by two daughters: Ruth Anne DeKrey (Charles) of Willow Springs and Jan Williamson (Rick) of Mount Pleasant, IA; four grandchildren: Suzanne Pearson (Travis), Willow Springs, Kristen Faubus (Daniel) of Fort Worth, TX, Danielle Mathieu, Rogersville, Mo, and Aaron Williamson (Emily) of Mount Pleasant, IA; and seven great-grandchildren: Allison and Macy Pearson, Willow Springs; Julia, Cora, and Samuel Faubus of Fort Worth, TX, and Maggie and Chloe Williamson of Mount Pleasant, IA.
