Patricia (Pat) Lynn Bullis Thomason Rutledge was born on March 21, 1940, in Savanna, Illinois, to William Bullis and Lois McGrath and passed on March 7, 2023, in Springfield, Missouri.
Pat was raised in Mountain View, Missouri, by her parents, Howard and Lois Thomason, along with her two brothers and two sisters. She was united in marriage to her lifelong love, Willard Rutledge, on November 28, 1959. To this union were added four children, Willard De, Heather Leah, Christian Bion, and Heath Aaron.
Pat and her family resided in St. Louis until 1978 when they moved to Arroll, Missouri, and lived a challenging and fulfilling life managing Kinard Ranch. In her final years, Pat and Willard lived in her hometown of Mountain View including at Mountain View Healthcare.
Pat was an active homemaker in helping manage the farm while being very involved in her children's activities and pursuits, the Christian ministry especially of Faith Baptist Church, and in many and various community and civic activities. She was a member of the Eastern Star, bible studies, and the Red Hat Ladies Society.
Pat was known for her devotion to her family and friends in helping out with whatever was needed. Her caring spirit and unconditional love impacted many who had lost loved ones, dealing with heartache, and seeking comfort, peace, and strength. Notably, she took care of many family members leading up to and in their time of passing.
Pat is preceded in death by her biological father, William Bullis; her parents, Howard and Lois Thomason; her husband of 50 years Willard; her daughter Heather Leah Sexton; and her baby boy, Heath Aaron.
She is survived by her son Willard De and wife Barbara of Mountain View, Missouri and son, Chris and wife Cassie of Pomona, Missouri. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pat now rests and rejoices in the presence of Jesus Christ and assuredly with her loved ones that have awaited her arrival in heaven.
Funeral services were held March 10 at Mt. Calvary Power House Church, Mountain View, Missouri. Interment was in Oak Forest Cemetery, Birch Tree. Condolences may be expressed at www.yarbermortuary.com.
