Scott Allen Miller

Scott Allen Miller, of West Plains, Missouri, passed away on July 15, 2024, at the age of 59, at Ozarks Healthcare, West Plains. He was born on September 24, 1964, at Naval Hospital, Pensacola, Florida. He was the loving son of Johnny and Elloise Miller of Mountain View, Missouri.

 

Scott was extremely proud of his US Army Service, both in the US and Germany. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal for his expertise in repairing the Bradley Tank along, with other service awards.

 

After the Army, he attended chef school in Kansas City and worked at several restaurants in West Plains. He loved his beloved Red Sox, attending games whenever he could. Golfing and fishing were his other interests, along with spending time with family and friends, and his dog.

 

He is survived by his parents; brother, Michael Miller and wife, Sheryl of Valrico, FL; nephews, Riley, Aiden, and Cooper, all of Valrico; two aunts, Carletta Abbey of Mountain View, MO, and Ruth Ann Ray of Cabot, AR; and niece, Brandi Abbey of West Plains.

 

Graveside services will be planned for a later date. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri.
