Tara Lee Brown

Graveside services for Tara Lee Brown 66, West Plains will be at 10:00am Friday July 12, at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Tara finished her race on July 4, 2024, at West Vue Nursing Home with her family by her side, as she entered the gates of Heaven to be with Jesus and many loved ones who have gone on before.
Tara was born January 3, 1958, to Merle and Patricia (Gruelke) Brown in Manchester, Iowa. Tara managed R&S Floral for several years and also worked retail at Bradford Pharmacy. She was known by many for her volunteering at West Vue Nursing Home. While here on earth Tara was a blessing to many, telling everyone about her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with her uplifting devotions. Tara never met a stranger.
She is survived by her daughter Sabra Knepper; grandson Bragan Kelly and wife Julia; grandson Kieran Knepper; sister Tracy Beam; brother Troy Brown and wife Mary: Special friend Michael Francis; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and brother-in-law JR Beam preceded her in death.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Morgan and his team for their care for Tara over the last three years as she battled cancer. Also, a special thanks to the staff with Three Rivers Hospice and West Vue Nursing Home.
As many know Tara's daughter and grandson are missionaries in Africa with Overland Missions and will be returning to Mozambique, Africa for a full-time assignment. Per Tara's wishes in lieu of flowers donations can be made to support their missionary work. “Keep the Light On”
Though God has already called me home,
Remember that you are not alone.
So please don’t linger in the dark,
But keep the Light on in your Heart.
Don’t lose hope and don’t be sad,
Be thankful for the life we had and don’t forget,
You’re not alone,
God left a light on til you come home.
