Letter to the Editor

My name is Carlos Johnson. My wife and I were passing through Willow Springs, MO and we had a blow out and were stranded on the side of the highway.

Cpl. Johnathan M. Heimsoth stopped and helped us. He was very friendly, and asked us how he could be of help. He offered to take us to get our tire fixed, and was willing to take us anywhere we needed to go. Cpl Heismoth then proceeded to help me jack up my vehicle and change my tire.

To him it may not have been a big deal, but to me and my wife it was. That was the first experience we ever had where we got hands on help from law enforcement to such a great degree. The experience was so encouraging! There is so much bad news about police officers in the media and it can be very discouraging. This experience for us helped us to appreciate that there are great officers out there that truly help, protect and serve! We just wanted to share our experience with Cpl. Heimsoth and let others know here is one example of an awesome cop. Missouri Highway Patrol and citizens are privileged to have an officer like Cpl. Heismoth.
