Moment in the Word

1 Corinthians 13:12 - For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
As the New Year looms ahead, we have absolutely no idea what might be waiting, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." 1 Corinthians 2:9
However, despite every situation, we should confidently remember what God told ancient Israel during their captivity in Babylon, "I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11
Although we cannot predict the future, yet God knows His own mind! Consequently, we must believe that regardless of the circumstance, God has already predestined good things for those who love Him. We might not know the outcome today or tomorrow, but somewhere ahead an "expected end" is coming, simply because God has imagined GOOD THOUGHTS for us!
Or as St. John said, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is." 1 John 3:2
So, as we begin a new year, always remember, "Today, I am God's child, but tomorrow, I will be His heir!"
How can that be?
"God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus." Ephesians 2:4-7
