An Open Letter from Ozarks Healthcare to our Community – COVID-19 Vaccines

The following was written as an open letter from Tom Keller, Ozarks Healthcare President and CEO, to community members on January 14, 2021:

As COVID-19 cases continue to impact our hospital, we are seeing hope in the first round of vaccines being administered throughout Missouri.
We are proud to share that Ozarks Healthcare has provided 400 vaccinations to healthcare workers who are among the first group eligible to receive the vaccines, in accordance with guidelines established by the state of Missouri and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Ozarks Healthcare is also accepting online sign-ups for those who would like to receive the vaccine when it becomes available for them. Ozarks Healthcare will be providing the COVID-19 vaccine based on a predetermined tier system. Individuals will be identified to receive the vaccine based on risk status and occupation. Once the vaccination is made available for your tier, Ozarks Healthcare will use your information provided through your completed sign-up form to contact you with further instructions on how to schedule an appointment to receive your vaccination. To sign up, visit https://www.ozarkshealthcare.com/about-us/coronavirus-updates/covid-19-v...
As our vaccine supply increases throughout the coming weeks and months, we will expand our vaccine operations to our community, as guided by the CDC and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. We are hopeful we will receive information from our governing officials soon, so that we can assist in more vaccinations for our community. We will share a defined timeline as more information becomes available.
It will take time to vaccinate all members of our community. In the meantime, please continue to follow all safety precautions – wear a mask, practice physical distancing and hand hygiene.
We will keep you informed and updated as we learn more and prepare for each phase of vaccinations. There are many moving parts related to the supply and administration of the vaccine, so thank you for your patience and understanding as we strive to take care of our community. As we anticipate being able to enter the next COVID-19 vaccination phase in the coming days, please know we remain focused on your health.

Sincerely,

Tom Keller
Ozarks Healthcare President and CEO
