Calls For Service
August 28
Corporal Seth Smith received a report regarding a child custody dispute. The incident is closed.
Deputy Jacob Hamby responded for a report of a court order protection order violation. A probable cause statement form will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
Deputy Hamby took a report of a stolen handgun.
Deputy Dakota Millard responded to County Road 8620, West Plains, for a report of a death investigation. He did not observe any signs of foul play.
Deputy Tessa Jens responded to County Road 8800 in reference to a domestic disturbance. They took one subject into custody, and the EMS transported the victim to Ozark's Healthcare for medical treatment. A report will be sent to the Howell County Prosecutor.
August 29
Corporal Smith took a report of a weapon violation.
Deputy Hamby took a report of an assault.
August 30
Lieutenant Matt Roberts received a call from Patrol Division Corporal Smith advising of an incident in the Howell County Adult Detention Center. Smith further advised a Detention Officer had been assaulted transported to Ozarks Healthcare for treatment. Charges for first degree assault and attempted escape from confinement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office for review.
Corporal Smith received a request to respond to a residence on County Road 5840 for a report of a deceased female. This incident is closed.
August 31
Deputy Melanie Roam received a report of a burglary on State Route FF, Caulfield. While en route to the incident, dispatch advised the male subject had left the residence. All charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.
Corporal Nicholas Bruno responded to County Road 3210 in reference to a possible domestic disturbance. No criminal charges were filed during the time of this report.
Deputy Michael Pauly received a call of a death on Pamela Dr., West Plains as Deputy Howell County Coroner.
September 1
Corporal Bruno took a report of interference with child custody.
September 2
Deputy Dylan Webb took a burglary report from a residence on State Route 17, West Plains. Items taken included a tankless water heater, water filtration system, and a lawn mower as well as other items. An investigation is ongoing.
September 3
Deputy Roam received a report of a disturbance on US Highway 160. All parties were advised of judicial remedies. No one wanted to pursue any charges.
Deputy Adriel Lisboa responded to a call for service of Disturbance off of County Road 6420.
Deputy Millard received a call of a child custody dispute on County Road 6310. Prior to arrival, dispatch notified us of an ongoing assault at the residence. He collected evidence and photographs. Charges will be filed through the Howell County Prosecutor's Office for domestic assault 3rd.
September 5
Corporal Smith received a call to respond to a residence on County Road 4730 for a report of an overdose. Investigation found the subject deceased. The incident is closed.
Corporal Smith received a call to respond to the area of County Road 6470 for a child that had been found in the roadway. He returned the child to the guardian, and the incident is under investigation.
