Calls for Service
September 18
Deputy Dylan Webb responded to County Road 8120, West Plains, for a report of a suspicious vehicle. He found the vehicle recently painted and assumed it to be stolen from Springfield, Missouri, this could not be confirmed with the owner. The investigation into the matter is ongoing. 
Deputy Webb took a report of property damage from Howell-Oregon Electric spraying underbrush and entered their yard.
Deputy Webb received a report of trespassing and knowingly releasing animals by opening a gate to a pasture allowing livestock to leave.
Corporal Nicholas Bruno responded to a residence in northern Howell County in reference to a case involving a juvenile.  
Deputy Webb responded to a property on County Road 6810 for a theft report. Items taken included a welder and trailer. An investigation is ongoing. 
September 19
Deputy Michaela McGee received a call from an assistant principal that a student had received intoxicants from another student and attempting to drink it at the West Plains Middle School. 
September 20
Deputy Robert Malone responded to Dairy Queen in West Plains for a possible Domestic. 
Deputy Jacob Hamby responded to County Road 1990, Willow Springs, in regards to a motor vehicle tampering. He spoke with the reporting party who had discovered the wires had been cut underneath the steering wheel. They identified a person of interest.
September 21
Deputy James Wardrip responded to a domestic assault at a residence on County Road 2940, Mountain View. A report will be forwarded to the Howell Prosecutor for review of the incident.  
September 22
Corporal Seth Smith took a report of theft. This case is under investigation.
Deputy Austin Ryan took a report of theft. This case is under investigation.
Deputy Ryan responded to Junction Hill School to make contact with Children's Division in reference to a juvenile. An initial report will be sent to the Howell County Investigation Division for follow-up.
September 23
Corporal Smith received a calls for service on County Road 6070, West Plains, for a report of damage to a vehicle. This incident is under investigation.  
Deputy Ryan responded to the area of State Route WW, Mountain View, in reference to a violation of court order of protection. He could not make contact with the suspect who has a previous arrest for the same. A report and charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office. 
Corporal Smith received a call on County Road 8660, West Plains, for a report of an assault. 
Deputy Ryan responded to a call off of County Road 1370, Pomona, in reference to an auto theft. There is no known suspect at this time.
September 24
Deputy Melanie Roam received a report of property damage on US Highway 160.
Corporal Bruno responded to a residence on County Road 6070 in reference to a child abuse report.  
Deputy Webb responded to the emergency room of Ozarks Healthcare for a report of a juvenile who had been shot with a pellet rifle. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
