Calls for Service
October 30
Undersheriff Justin Riley took a report of a burglary at a residence on County Road 7040. 
Deputy Dakota Millard responded to County Road 7760 near Moody for a report of a missing person. This case will be forwarded to the Howell County Investigation Division. 
October 31
Deputy Jacob Hamby responded to Kountry Korner Gas Station in Moody for a reported theft from the cash register. He identified a person of interest, and this case is under investigation. 
Undersheriff Riley took a report of an attempted identity theft.
Deputy Hamby received a report of a gas drive off at Cornerco in South Fork. He identified a person of interest. 
Deputy D. Millard responded to U.S. Highway 160 near Caulfield to speak with an individual reporting their cat stolen. The victim later called back stating they located the cat under the porch. This case is closed. 
Deputy First Class Travis Weaver went to the area of County Road 3540 in Mountain View to conduct a compliance check at a registered sex offender's residence for the annual Halloween event. He discovered the offender violating state statute by not being at their residence between the times of 5:00 P.M. and 10:30 P.M. to allow for children to trick-or-treat. A probable cause statement will forwarded to the prosecuting attorney's office. 
November 1
Deputy Austin Ryan responded to the area of State Route V in Mountain View for a report of stealing. This case is still under investigation at this time. 
Deputy Ryan took a report of stolen property near County Road 8240. This case is still under investigation at this time. 
Deputy First Class Weaver responded to the area of Railroad Drive in Willow Springs for the report of a missing person. After conducting an investigation, he discovered the missing person's whereabouts. At this time, this case will be closed. 
November 2
Deputy Hamby received a report in reference to a sex offense. This case will be sent to the Howell County Investigations Division for follow-up. 
Deputy Ryan responded to the area of County Road 1680 for a report of a juvenile assault. He contacted both sets of parents and gathered all relevant information. 
Deputy First Class Weaver responded to the area of County Road 6330 in West Plains for a violation of an order of protection. He located the suspect with a traffic stop. He arrested the suspect and placed them on a 24-hour hold.
November 3
Deputy John Thomas took a report of an assault call involving a juvenile.
November 4
Deputy Talon Millard received a call of a dog bite that occurred on County Road 2010 of West Plains. They transported the victim to OZH with non-life-threatening injuries. No charges will be filed at this time.
