January 29
Deputy Jacob R. Hamby received a call for a report of auto theft that turned out an assault on County Road 4350, Pomona. A report will be sent to the Howell County Prosecutor for review.
January 30
Deputy Melanie Roam received a report of a violation of a protection order. They arrested the suspect and placed them on a 24-hour hold, pending formal charges.
While Cpl. Brian Jackson responded to a warrant arrest, conducted a consent search of the property and located controlled substances.
Deputy Brandon Meacham responded to a residence on Illinois Ave, Brandsville for a wellbeing check. He located the individual safe and found no crime occurred.
January 31
Officer Dylan Webb took a report of a protection order violation.
Cpl. Jackson responded to a physical domestic at a residence on County Road 3450 in Mountain View. He separated the parties and placed one subject on a 96-hour hold.
Corporal Nicholas Bruno and medical personnel from Willow Springs Ambulance Service responded to a residence on County Road 3340, in Willow Springs for an unresponsive subject. They conducted life-saving measures and pronounced the subject deceased on the scene. Investigation found no signs of trauma and death is believed to be due to natural causes.
February 1
Cpl. Jackson applied for and received a search warrant for a residence located on County Road 4620. The search warrant located and seized several illegal items.
Deputy Webb took a report of stealing that took place on State Route MM.
Deputy First Class Jared Hummel responded to a residence on County Road 2380 in reference to a disturbance. Criminal charges will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutor's Office for review.
February 3
Deputy Austin Ryan received a report of a victim wanting to file a report for violation of an order of protection after receiving a threatening voice mail from the defendant on the order of protection.
Deputy Tessa Jens responded to a possible house fire set by an intoxicated subject. The reporting party they advised they were able to extinguish the fire before it spread further. The victim advised that they did not wish to pursue charges at this time. They later transported the subject who set the fire to Ozark's Healthcare to be placed on a 96-hour hold for a mental evaluation.
February 4
Deputy Jens responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on County Road 4210. Interviews found a verbal argument occurred during which pushing and slapping occurred. Deputy Jens observed no injuries and neither party wished to file charges against the other.
Deputy Ryan conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on County Road 1280 in West Plains. He arrested two occupants for possession of a controlled substance. The suspected methamphetamine will be forwarded to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Lab for lab results.
Corporal Dakota Millard responded to State Route Z near Willow Springs for a report of a disturbance. Interviews found a verbal argument had occurred, but the other party had left the residence.
Deputy Shaun Duggins took a report of a juvenile assaulting his caretaker.
