Calls for Service
February 21
Deputy Jacob Hamby conducted a traffic stop on State Route AD in West Plains. He placed the driver of the vehicle under arrest for driving while revoked. 
Corporal Seth Smith received a call regarding a theft.
Deputy Hambly took a report of stealing. This case is under investigation.
Deputy Hunter Ward received a report of an alleged harassment incident. Formal charges are pending. 
Deputy Tessa Jens made contacted a subject in reference to a violation of an order of protection. Charges will be sent to the Howell County Prosecutor for further review. 
Deputy Austin Ryan received a request for an agency assist for Dent County Sheriff's Office to attempt to locate a missing juvenile. He located the juvenile and returned them back to their guardian.
Deputy Timothy Gordon responded to an address in Mountain View, for a report of an intoxicated subject trespassing and refusing to leave. Investigation resulted in the arrest of the intoxicated subject and placed on a protection hold due to their intoxicated condition. The victim of the trespassing decided not to press charges at this time. 
February 22
Deputy Hamby received a call for a disturbance between two individuals at County Road 1690 in Pomona. He arrested an individual and placed them on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. 
February 23
Deputy Adriel Lisboa spoke to an individual reporting child abuse that occurred in another jurisdiction. He forwarded all information to Wentzville Police Department where a thorough investigation will take place regarding the allegation. 
February 25
Deputy Lisboa took a report of an assault that occurred earlier that day at a residence off of County Road 1860. 
Corporal Nicholas Bruno responded to a residence on County Road 2720 in reference to a dog killing another dog. This remains under investigation. 
February 26
Deputy Robert Malone conducted a traffic stop on US-160 in Caulfield. Investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver for driving while intoxicated and transported to the Howell County Sheriff's Office.
Corporal Brian Jackson and Deputy McDaniel conducted a traffic stop on Porter Wagoner Boulevard. Investigation resulted in the arrest of the operator for driving while license revoked and transported to the Howell County Adult Detention Center.
Corporal Bruno responded to a residence on State Route E in reference to a disturbance call. Both parties were advised of their judicial remedies. 
February 27
Corporal Seth Smith received a call of an unresponsive subject at a residence on County Road 8240 in West Plains. Investigation found the subject to be deceased. 
Deputy Jens contacted a Junction Hill School employee who advised that a 9-year-old child had assaulted another child at school. The parents of both children were contacted in reference to this incident, and the school official advised that the child responsible would be disciplined accordingly. The investigation is ongoing. 
Deputy Hamby received a call in regards to stealing.
Deputy Jordan Collins took a report of tampering with property of another.
February 28
Deputy Ryan took a report of a stolen chainsaw. This case is still under investigation at this time. 
Deputy Hamby took a report of trespassing.
