Deputy Austin Ryan received a call from McDonough County Sheriff's Office in Macomb, Ill. regarding a non-compliant sex offender. The subject has failed to register since April 1, 2022. He made contact with the McDonough County Sheriff's Office who advised they had local charges for the subject. 
January 11
Deputy Howell County Coroner Michael Pauly responded to County Road 8270 for a death investigation. 
Deputy Jared Q. Hummel received a call for a wellbeing check on County Road 4730 in Pomona. He discovered one female subject to be deceased by natural causes.

Deputy Dylan Webb responded to Pepsi in Pomona for a theft report. 
January 13
Deputy Brian Jackson received a call to respond to a closed business located along W. US Highway 160 in response to a complaint of property damage and an attempted burglary. 
Deputy John Thomas took a report regarding an agency assist with Howell Oregon Electric Company. Charges of stealing and second degree tampering with a utility meter have been filed.
Deputy Thomas responded to a report of a domestic assault located at County Road 8270 in West Plains. Third degree charges of domestic assault will be filed.
January 14
Deputy Brian Jackson took a report of a runaway juvenile. He located the juvenile.
Deputy Howell County Coroner Pauly responded to Thayer Avenue in West Plains for a death investigation.
January 15
Deputy James Wardrip received a call for service for a victim wanting to report their four-wheeler stolen. At this time, there is no suspect. This incident is pending and under investigation.
January 16
Deputy Dakota C. Millard made contact with the assistant manager of Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative regarding a stealing incident. The incident has been captured on video and is pending investigation at this time.
