June 7
Deputy Bruce Sortman was dispatched to a home on State Route DD in Willow Springs for a report of a dog bite. The owner of the dog agreed to quarantine the animal for ten days.
June 8
Howell County Public Water Supply, on County Road 6070 in West Plains, reported that a lockbox was damaged and that items were removed from the box. A report was generated.
Deputy Seth Smith attempted to conduct a traffic stop on US Highway 60 in Willow Springs. The suspect, driving a motorcycle, fled from Deputy Smith, resulting in a pursuit at speeds in excess of 120 miles per hour. The chase ended on a private road near Mountain View. The motorcycle operator was taken into custody with formal charges pending.
June 9
A Willow Springs man reported that while he was building a fence near Private Road 3350, and County Road 3380, someone fired a warning shot from a gun. The shooter also reportedly sent a warning message to a family member of the man that was building the fence. No criminal charges were filed.
June 12
A Mountain View woman reported that a vehicle struck her mailbox on County Road 3440. A report was generated.
June 14
Pipe Plus in Willow Springs reported that someone charged several thousand dollars to an account and never paid for the materials. The suspect sent a check to Pipe Plus for $1,000 that was written on a closed account. A probable cause statement will be forwarded to the Howell County Prosecuting Attorney.
